2018 Month-by-Month Opportunities
If you are unable to shop for these items, donations are accepted and our Mission Coordinator, Sandy Jackson, will shop for the items! Donation receipts will be issued to every donor.
January - Brunson-Lee Elementary School
This school is in the Balsz School District in Phoenix and is a low-income school. Many of the children cannot provide their own school supplies. The school itself does not provide all that is needed for the classroom. Many of the teachers spend their own money to buy supplies. We will be collecting items that they need for their classrooms and be providing a treat for the teachers.

February - Shoebox Ministry
The Shoebox Ministry is located in Scottsdale. They are unique in that they are an agency with the sole mission of providing basic hygiene items, socks and undergarments to the homeless and the working poor. They distribute the toiletry kits, socks and undergarments to agencies and shelters who work directly with those in need. We will be collecting new men’s socks.

March - Family Promise Easter Baskets
For 16 years, the Family Promise Emergency Shelter Program has helped families cope with their current housing crisis and teach them life-skills that will enable them to return to independent living and self-sufficiency. They receive meals, clothing, do their laundry, search for jobs, take care of their children, and receive case management, counseling and life-skills training. We will be providing filled Easter Baskets for the children at the transition center.

October: Granola bars and dish soap
November: Baby food and toilet paper
December: Rice baby cereal and feminine hygiene products

Habitat for Humanity Build Schedule
The start of our 2018 Habitat for Humanity three-story house is scheduled for Saturday, 20 January. We will be building with our East Valley Presbyterian Coalition, The Mighty Methodist Coalition, and our corporate sponsor. This will be our last 3-story house build in Tempe. The Hussein Family have lived in Arizona for 10 years.
There are 5 build weekends scheduled for this build. Please contact Mitch to let him know which builds you would like to attend and he will provide the release form and directions to the site. If you don't know how to do any of the tasks below, don't worry! As coordinator, Mitch will show you what to do!

February 3rd - Frame Second Floor Walls
March 10th - Complete cabinets and ceiling duct blocking
April 7th - Drywall
May 19th - Interior Painting
July 7 - Dedication
