Glyndon Morris Receives Call

Palo Cristi is thrilled to note that one of our members, Glyndon Morris, D.Min, has accepted a call to be pastor to Graham's Presbyterian Church in Pine Bush, NY. Glyndon has been under care of our Session as a candidate for ministry. Glyndon starts work at his new congregregation in January and while we will miss him, we congratulate him on receiving this call and also congratulate his new congregation on choosing a great new pastor! We look forward to hosting Glyndon's Service of Ordination at Palo Cristi to be a Teaching Elder in early 2015.

Our Mission

The mission of Palo Cristi Presbyterian Church is to follow the calling “to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8):

To fulfill this mission, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us:

  • Share our faith stories that others may come to know God’s love
  • Maintain an ongoing commitment to Environmental Justice, Peacemaking, and Evangelism
  • Continue a strong commitment to mission outreach; participating in local, national, and international mission outreach projects
  • Offer an open and loving community of acceptance to everyone

Fall Worship at Palo Cristi

Can you feel that chill in the air? It's finally fall, though in Phoenix we are stil enjoying temperatures in the 70s and 80s each day. It's warm in more than one way each Sunday morning as we gather for worship. Unlike other congregations which segregate "contemporary" and "traditional" worship, at Palo Cristi we strive for a "blended" experience. Beginning in our time together in worship with Praise Music led by our Music / Youth Director, Ted Gibson, has been a big hit!. We hope to see you soon as we enter into Advent and prepare for Christmas!
